Here we have a lovely Steinway & Sons upright fresh from the workshop, which has just benefitted from an internal restoration as well as the exterior casework.

Work has included:

• Frame strip and respray/re-painted
• New Tuning pins & strings
• New wrest plank
• New hammers & damper felts
• Action rebuild including new keytops
• Tuning, voicing and regulation
• Casework stripped and made ebonised black, polished metal work.

This model has some beautiful inlay work on the front panels, giving a lovely blend of traditional yet still modern with the black finish.

The action rebuild has firmed up the feel of the keys, adding some weight and depth to the touch, the voicing is mellow giving a warm character, absolutely ideal for classical and emotive styles of music.

The new strings and hammers have given the bass region particularly some much welcomed depth and dynamics, a joy to play.
