The Wilhelm Schimmel W180 is the smallest of two grand pianos available in the extremely popular Wilhelm Schimmel series of upright and grand pianos. These solidly constructed mid range instruments are produced in Poland by Schimmel, the well known and and highly regarded German piano manufacturer. 

The Wilhelm Schimmel W180 represents an excellent European built alternative to popular Japanese models from the likes of Yamaha and Kawai etc.

At five foot and nine inches in length, The Wilhelm Schimmel W180 is what is commonly referred to as a "Boudoir" size piano, making it slightly larger than most baby grand instruments, whilst still remaining easy to accommodate in terms of space in most domestic environments. 

Due to the its extra length, the piano has longer strings and a larger soundboard than most baby grands, so boasts richer depth of tone and extra power and volume, making it an excellent compromise between a baby and full a size grand piano.
